Hello, Berko!

After what felt like a very busy week, the town is settling in for a short nap this week. There are a fewer things going on but that doesn't feel like the worst thing in the world.

On the more relaxed agenda this week:

  • Thinking about a refresh - have your say

  • What’s happenin’ this week

  • Music, dogs & sport

Let's get into it.

Easter's done and there's something about this time of year that makes you want to shake a few things up.

We've been feeling it too.

From Berko's been ticking along nicely and we think it might be time for a bit of a refresh. New look, possibly? Maybe some new sections. We're not entirely sure yet, which is exactly why we're asking you.

So, please hit reply if you've got ideas on design, new sections you'd like to see, things we should drop, stories worth telling.

We're all ears and we read every single one.

One more thing, we've been toying with the idea of doing something in person. Nothing confirmed, nothing planned yet. Just a feeling that after a few of months of doing this digitally, it might be time to actually bring some readers together.

A quick question, then:

  1. Inside Out | Spoon

  2. Wordless Chorus | My Morning Jacket

  3. Falling | Ben Kweller

9 Apr | The Rex | 14:00 | Arco (PG)

This gorgeous animation follows 10-year-old Arco (Juliano Krue Valdi) from the future whose maiden time travel voyage goes awry. Children under 12 aren’t allowed to time-travel yet, but Arco is too impatient to wait, so the curious adolescent steals his sister’s time-traveling robe — a rainbow-patterned adorned cape — and makes his first trip.
